Coaches’ Profile
Alex
Delia
Commenced his coaching career in 1995 with Mosta F.C. Youth Academy.
For the past ten years he has been in charge of various age groups
within the same club, teaching players of all ages and abilities.
This was only interrupted by a brief stint with another local football
nursery, namely Sliema Wanderers, where he was engaged for six months.
During these years, Alex attended a couple of Malta Football Association
coaching courses and presently holds a Club Coach Certificate License.
He has also been a member of the International Coaches Association
since 2004 and a holder of the Bronze Coaching License issued by
the same association. Alex has had the opportunity to be invited
to attend the “Stage Estivo Inter Campus 2004” by the
renowned Italian Club Internazionale F.C., where several youth coaches
from around the globe together with youth Italian coaches from Internazionale
F.C. meet to discuss and run a month long training camp for children
aged 7 to 16 years.
Together with his friend and colleague Carl Attard, Alex realized
his dream to open and run a Football School in September 2005. His
efforts and passion for the game were further rewarded last year
when he was given the opportunity to coach Mosta F.C.’s second
most important team, the Under 18. Alex was appointed Mosta F.C.
senior team coach the following season.
In addition to his coaching background, Alex is a member of The
Chartered Insurance Institute and Managing Director of an insurance
sub-agency. You can reach Alex at info@premierschooloffootball.com
